Bob Franke – April 2010

Bob Franke

Bob Franke opened his concert on Friday with one of his best known known songs – Alleluia! The Great Storm is Over! – and the audience just started to sing along.  Just a few weeks ago, he sang the same song at the 40th anniversary of the UU coffeehouse in Marblehead, Massachusetts – and it was captured for YouTube.

Bob Franke’s songs have a truth to them that cuts the facades and shallowness of modern life and puts each of us face to face with the fact that goodness and truth and beauty are at the center of existence, bigger than whatever frightens or intimidates us, and always personal, bearing the name of Love.

It was really a blessing to hear him in St. Paul.
